Area of Distinctiveness

The college being located in the remotest part of Bankura District and being stranded from mainland attracts very less students mainly female students. Moreover the economic condition of students is very poor and deplorable. The students mostly the girl students drop out from the B.A programme owing to early marriage and economic crisis. Henceforth the members of the college are striving hard to bring them to the college for further studies. The college staff and students visit the houses in the neighbourhood to make the parents aware of the advantage of women empowerment and convince them to send their wards to the college for completion of their course. The college also extends their warmth and support by helping them financially, waiving off their fees and donating books and copies. The parents are also encouraged to turn up in the Parent Teachers meet so that they learn about the advantage of skill based learning and modern ICT learning. In this way we have reduced the number of drop outs to some extent and hope to perform better in future. The college is also planning to provide transport facility to students so that they do not face any problem in commuting to this area which is otherwise poorly connected with main cities.
